120 Hertz Statistics

SLD collects information every SLC beam crossing on the state of the beam (energies, currents, etc.), the detector (drift chamber occupancy, calorimeter energy, etc.) and the trigger. This information is known collectively as the 120 hertz data. It is logged to tape whenever SLD is running; additionally statistics are accumulated online, some of which can be viewed from the web, updating (slowly: about every 15 seconds) in real time:

...and, quick, before those Z's stop accumulating, watch them minute by minute with the 120 hertz luminosity time history

NOTE: The applets running from these pages require browser support for Java 1.1.
