Author(s): The SLD Collaboration Presenting author: Tracy Usher Corresponding author's e-mail: usher@slac.stanford.edu Title of the presentation: Measurement of A_b using a Jet-Charge Technique at SLD Link to the full paper: Session of 1st preference: 5-Test of the Standard Model Session of 2nd preference:   Abstract   We present the final SLD measurement of the parity-violating parameter A_b from Left-Right Forward-Backward asymmetry of bb-bar pair production at the Z0 pole using jet-charge self-calibrating technique. We take advantage of the high polarization of the SLC electron beam and a high purity b-tag based on topological reconstruction of the mass of B-decay vertex. Our result is based on the full 1993-98 SLD data set and yields a total error of 3.4% on A_b.
