Example of Polarimeter Data

As an example of raw online data from the polarimeter, this figure shows the signal height in ADC counts from channel 7 for 100 consecutive triggers. This data was taken during commisioning for the 1994 run. The polarimeter data acquisition was running at 30 Hz, the electron beam was present at 10 Hz, and compton collisions occured at 5 Hz. Clearly evident are the pedestal (no electrons), the background (electrons, but no laser), and the J= 1/2 and J= 3/2 compton signals. This data corresponds to electron polarization of about 80%.
