To Get Shift Summaries
Shift experts should write a shift report at the end of each shift, enter
it into the Oracle database and then paste it into the log book. If they
don't shoot 'em.
To access the reports, look in the log book, or from any SLD SCP running on
SLDACQ:
,
,
.
Then select:
,
,
,
.
The selected shift report will appear in the display window.
To Get Number of Z's (from SLC/ SLD online)
From the MCC SCP (left end of Star Wars console).
Choose Index, Special Display, Lum History Plots
- SLC Integrated*BSM are in SLC Int.Z BSM
- SLD Integrated*BSM are in SLD Int.Z BSM
- SLD Integrated*BSM*CDC On are in SLD CDC on BSM
Choose last 24 hours or set explicit ,begin and end times
using the Plot Scale Panel. To get the printout use the
Print Graph Display button.
Noise Signals and Polarization
From the MCC SCP (left end of Star Wars console).
Choose Index, IP Status, >SLD 24hr macro.
This will automatically print out the three standard noise plots
on the IMCEH0 printer. If you want to access the individual plots
look in the SLD History Panel.
To get a nice polarization plot use the SLD POLSCP, choose
Index, Pol Panel, Pol TH, CKV POL.
To Get the Offline numbers
A new offline facility has been developed by your
friendly offline crew which should make it very easy
to generate the offline report. As of now (July 4 1994)
it is not completely functional, but
check it out anyway.
It would be really nice if you could update the status display just
by filling in a form such as this one, but you can't because we haven't
made it work yet, so instead you have to follow the instructions below,
using your choice of operating system.
For SLACVM lovers
- If you are lazy you can get the previous day's report off the G disk
by typing
FILELIST * NEWS G
then copying the most recent file to your own disk for editing.
Make sure you edit out the first three lines if you do this, since
they are inserted by DUCSNEWS and you don't want them there again.
- Edit the file including all of the goodies that you want the world at
large to know about the past 24 hour's running, including an update on SLC
performance and problems, any SLD hardware or software problems, plans for the
current day, and a luminosity summary of total Z's, Z's for the day,
etc.
- Issue the command
$SLDNEWS yourfn yourft yourdisk
and away it will go to DUCSNEWS.
For VAX lovers
Safest thing is to log onto the SLD VAX using the normal SLD account and
password (see the back section of the Rules of the Game folder if you don't
know the password).
Create a file containing the days status report (see instructions for Vm
lovers above). You can now submit your file to DUCS issuing the commands:
$ DUCSNEWS
DUCSNEWS> ADD yourfile
Enter the expiry date (e.g. 0007, meaning 7 days from now) and the title (e.g. SLD Run Status Report for 15
July 1994) when prompted
DUCSNEWS> EXIT
However you submit your report don't forget to print out a copy and stick
it in the SLD log book.
